Ranjit Singh Sarban Singh is a Senior Lecturer at Department of Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). He has served as Tutor from 2008 – 2010, lecturer from 2010 – 2015 and presently as senior lecturer from 2015. He received his PhD in General Control System Engineering (Renewable Energy System Management) from Brunel Universiti London, United Kingdom. He received his MScEng in Computer Engineering (By Research) from Multimedia University Melaka, Malaysia in 2010. He received his BEng (Honours) in Electonics Engineering (Computer Engineering) from Kolej Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (KUTKM), Melaka, Malaysia in 2006. During his service at UTeM from 2008 – present, he thought numerous computer engineering subjects such as microprocessor technology, engineering mathematics, microcontroller technology, embedded system design, digital system, principles of electrical and electronics and some other computer engineering related subjects. He received his Diploma in Computer Technology from Politeknik Seberang Perai (PSP), Pulau Pinang, Malaysia in 2004.
Ranjit Singh is registered as Professional Engineering (PE) with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). He is also registered as Chartered Engineer of IET (UK), IntPE (UK) and Professional Engineer (UK). His research interest spans several different disciplines: Renewable Energy System Management, Battery Energy Storage Management, Embedded System Design, Energy Management Algorithm, and Consumers Electronics System Design. He has actively pursued research in these fields and published more than 60 journals and conference papers and filed 5 patents application nationally, granted 1 trademark nationally. He has organized and chaired international conference and continue to serve as a member of several scientific and organizing committees of international journals and conference. He continues to review journal and conference papers manuscript for various international journals and conferences. He has been principle researcher for numerous research grants from National and University. He has also won more than 10 national and international innovation and invention awards.
